Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was a true blessing in many ways. My Father is experiencing mysterious health issues which seem to point to something no one wants but nothing's been confirmed as yet. He wanted to visit his favorite aunt, my great aunt Beatrice in Milwaukee. I was the designated driver on the trip, determined to stay the night at my cousin's place since my great aunt has little room for overnight guests. Alas, I was seduced by my great aunt to stay the night, she's very persuasive:-).

My cousin Darlene, Aunt Bea's granddaughter stopped by on Thanksgiving. What a joy she is. Darlene is a fighter. She has braved a cancer diagnosis that had her dead at least two years ago. But still Darlene not only lives but thrives. She inspires me. Maybe she will inspre you too.
